MY TOP FIVE PRODUCTS OF SUMMER 2019

Hello! Having sweated through an American summer, and now a very hot (record breaking!) British one, I thought I would go through my favourite beauty and makeup products this season.
Glossier Lash Slick. This tubing mascara has extra fibres so separates, wraps around your existing lashes AND makes them longer with teeny fibres that somehow don’t irritate my hay fever eyes! The brush is great as it’s not too big, but with different length combs so you can still really get in there. The only drawback is that if you want to build on the mascara you should work while the first (or second) layer is still wet, otherwise it can get clumpy. And a plus; the light pink packaging makes it very easy to find in my make-up bag.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel. I picked up a mini with Brow Wiz in Sephora, and it’s waterproof and REALLY doesn’t smudge, as well as holding my brows up in a fluffy manner. The pigment is strong (which I love) but if you’re not into a super heavy brow then maybe get a lighter colour than your usual. Work against the brow if you really want to coat the hairs!
Weleda Skinfood. Katie Jane Hughes (who is amazing so please check her out) spoke about this and uses it religiously, and then did an event with Weleda in Macy’s Times Squara, that I happily braved Macy’s for. They had some incredible flowers and lots of samples, so I picked up some mini’s as well as my regular tube (and my two other backups). It’s a heavy, oily, glowy moisturiser which is amazing in winter, but I’ve been surprised how much I’ve used it in summer. It’s been very soothing after catching the sun (through my hat and SPF) and for any wind burn from being in the elements. Take a pea sized amount and smush between your hands, and then press into your face after serum in the evening to wake up looking like you’ve just had a facial.
Innisfree sheet masks. They are THE BEST. Cheap, so you don't feel guilty about using them up, wet enough but not super heavy - I always go for the serum ones as they give me the best result (glowy, not greasy). I also picked up a silicone mask that hooks behind your ears in a Korean beauty store, so I wear that over my sheet mask and then I can get on with other things instead of only lying down while masking. This has been a game changer!
Supergoop oil 50+ sunscreen. I grabbed a mini of this, and initially felt silly for not getting the full size…BUT its been great for having in a small bag and has saved me from certain sunburn multiple times. This is my second Supergoop product and I have been impressed with everything I have bought and tried so far, so I think I will be trying their Everyday Sunscreen next.
